Best Feats for Clerics in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)

The Cleric is one of the best classes in the game, due to its self sustain and damage output, much like the Paladin. When it comes to Feats, some are better than others depending on your build. This guide breaks down the best Feats for Clerics that are looking to directly engage in combat in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Best Feats for Clerics in Baldur’s Gate 3

Cleric is one of the most powerful Casting classes with its ability to self sustain and deal damage with spells like Spirit Guardians. Feats, however, are not as cut and dry in Baldur’s Gate 3 for Clerics, as the best ones are entirely subjective.

  • War Caster
  • Shield Master
  • Ability Improvement (Wisdom, Constitution)
  • Martial Adept
  • Magic Initiate: Cleric

This build focuses on making your Cleric a tank so you can use Spirit Guardians to maximum effectiveness. You will want to pick War Caster, Magic Initiate: Cleric, and Martial Adept for spell sustain and additional buffs.

Shield Master is entirely optional, but some of the best Cleric builds involve using a single-handed weapon and a shield for extra effects. That said, you don’t need this Feat, but if you have room for it in your build, I would suggest it. You should always make sure to utilize the vast array of Cleric spells, as even level one spells can get you through the hardest encounters on Tactician. Additionally, consider Multiclassing into Fighter if you want to make a sturdier Cleric, or want to them tank on par with the Paladin.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for PC and PlayStation 5.
