Best Feats for Wizards in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)

Baldur’s Gate 3, like many games included in the Dungeons & Dragons umbrella, feature Feats. Feats are effectively passive skills that can enhance a character’s affinity or ability in and out of combat. For the Wizard, some of the best Feats enhance your Intelligence stat, or even allow you to hold concentration. While all builds are generally subjective on what is and isn’t the best, we’ve written a guide recommending some Feats for those playing a Wizard in Baldur’s Gate 3.

The Best Feats for Wizards in Baldur’s Gate 3

Because the subclasses for the Wizard only exist to reduce the cost it takes to learn spells from very specific schools, Feats are more generalized across the class. However, certain Feats are definitely better than others and should be prioritized. Keep in mind that Feats are available to learn every four levels, and that if you’ve gotten Withers, you can respec and change these at any time.

Below is a small list of the best Feats for Wizards in Baldur’s Gate 3.

  • War Caster
  • Spell Sniper
  • Ability Improvement (Intelligence)
  • Lucky

These Feats are more passive in terms of what they provide. Lucky is a good Feat to have for later encounters, since it allows you to force an enemy to re-roll their Attack Roll. Spell Sniper reduces the number needed to get a Critical Hit with a spell. War Caster is great if you multiclass into Fighter or any other melee Class, since it grants you an advantage on Saving Throws to maintain concentration on spells. For example, this means that if you are a hit by an enemy a spell like Cloud of Daggers won’t dissipate.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for PC and PlayStation 5.
