Having been available for seven years already, HoYoVerse released a lot of Honkai Impact 3rd characters and battlesuits for them over the years. For a new player, it can be confusing who to decide who pull for or who to purchase from the shops. Here are my suggestions for some of the best characters for beginners, what they do, why you should get them, and where you are able to find them.
Herrscher of Sentience
Herrscher of Sentience is one of the best Honkai Impact 3rd best support battlesuits, and Fu Hua is one of the easiest units to obtain. You can obtain her relatively early on in the game through the Special Valkyrie Starter Supply. She is a Physical Support character who can buff allies and debuff enemies.
Herrscher of Flamescion
Herrscher of Flamescion is like Herrscher of Sentience, in that Kiana is one of the best DPS characters in Honkai Impact 3rd and can also be obtained from the Special Valkyrie Starter Supply. She is a Fire character who specialises in dealing as much burst damage as possible.
Seele – Swallowtail Phantasm
If you’re a fan of Honkai: Star Rail, you’ll recognise Seele from its Belobog arc. She’s a hybrid support/DPS character, making her a versatile member for nearly any team. Furthermore, if you don’t have Herrscher of Sentience, she makes a pretty good alternative. You can get her Swallowtail Phantasm Suit by obtaining at least 50 Swallowtail Phantasm Fragments from summons.
Fischl
Genshin Impact fans will recognise Fischl as Mondstadt’s Prinzessin der Verurteilung. Fischl was available in Honkai Impact 3rd as part of an event in 2021, but you can still get her and her Fragments by purchasing her from the Asterite Shop. She is primarily a Lightning support unit with good damage-dealing capabilities. Like in Genshin, she can summon her raven Oz, who increases Fischl’s speed and deals follow-up attacks. Fischl is a great hybrid unit and a good way to help you learn the game if you’re coming from Genshin Impact.
Molotov Cherry
Molotov Cherry is a Physical DPS character. Rozaliya’s great in longer fights because her charged attacks deal more damage as time goes on. Furthermore, she’s pretty durable, able to survive a decent amount of hits if built right. She might pale in comparison to some more recent characters, but she is pretty easy to obtain from the Dorm Supply.
