Reynatis takes place in Shibuya, where two magical users are at odds with each other due to different ideological positions regarding the use of magic. Like many RPG adventures, your level will determine your characters’ power. If you are looking for the most optimal way to rank up, we tell you the best methods we have found.
The best way to encounter enemies in Reynatis
You can get experience in Reynatis in two ways: wizart and battles. After lowering your malice to a certain point from doing side missions, you can interact with specific wizart graffiti across the city, which will bestow EXP onto you. Although taking on missions is a solid way to encounter battles, there is a quicker method.
The best way to level up is by defeating enemies in an alternate world called another. Throughout the story, you will encounter fogs scattered across Shibuya, which will take you to this other dimension. These areas are glorified dungeons, and enemies will respawn constantly.
You will encounter the first one in Chapter 2, called Dominus Forest, which you should come across in the first hour of playing Reynatis. I was able to get Marin to level 7 in the space of 20 minutes at this location.
How to get more experience from battles in Reynatis
How much experience you get from battles is determined by your performance. You will be ranked out of ten criteria:
- Clear Time
- Burst Liberations
- MP Absorbed
- Number of Hits
- Skills Used
- Highest Combo
- Attack Rate
- Damage
- Final Menaces
- Character Changes
You will get a result card at the end of each match, ranking your performance out of five stars. Ideally, you want to aim for three stars or above for most matches. Three stars will get you 20% EXP, four stars will get you 24% EXP, and five stars will earn you a whopping 32% EXP.
To earn these higher grades, make sure to change your playstyle and hit the criteria listed above. A good way where we always secured three stars or above was by absorbing MP by dodging attacks and utilising Final Menace and Burst Liberation attacks. Also, do not get discouraged if you struggle to get some higher ranks at the beginning hours. Getting three, four and five stars is much easier in later portions of the game as the battles become more complex, which allows greater opportunities to encompass more of the performance criteria.
Reynatis will come to the PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC in North America and Europe on September 27, 2024, and then in Australia on October 4, 2024.
