Meliodas (The Seven Deadly Sins)

Yuki Kaji played the lead character and short boy Meliodas. The slightly offensive but often funny member of the titular group has a strong personality. This makes him lovable at times, especially when he unleashes his unbelievable demonic powers on his foes.

Attack on Titan The Final Season Part Three

Eren Yeager (Attack on Titan)

No other anime character in Kaji’s career has had the same level of impact as the protagonist of Attack on Titan, Eren Yeager. Kaji has previously won several awards for this role and for a good reason. Eren is one of the most complex protagonists in anime history, with many fans and haters alike.

Shoto Todoroki My Hero Academia

Shoto Todoroki (My Hero Academia)

Todoroki is arguably a better character in My Hero Academia than some of the series’ main protagonists. He has a quiet, closed-off personality, which only adds to his impressive characterization. It also helps that he uniquely has fire and ice as his superpowers, which plays well into his epic design.

Guilty Crown Shu Ouma

Shu Ouma (Guilty Crown)

The heavily underrated Guilty Crown from Production I.G. works because of the lead character, Shu Ouma. He represents the audience well as he is thrust into the hero position he doesn’t want amid a crisis in Tokyo. He keeps viewers on their toes with his surprising character arc, which showcases much of Kaji’s voice-acting talent.

Haruyuki Arita (Accel World)

Many people know Sword Art Online, but what about its pseudo-successor seemingly set in the same universe? Yuki Kaji voices the main character, Arita, a boy who struggles with his body image and status in the real world. He finds solace in the virtual reality game Brain Burst, where he falls for the most popular girl at school. Arita has such a down-to-earth personality that you can’t help but root for him.

Now that we’ve shared the characters we love the most, we want to hear from you! Let us know in the comments which Yuki Kaji anime roles you think are his most memorable.
