Binary Domain, Sega’s Futuristic Squad Shooter, Won’t Be In Stores Until 2012

After announcing Binary Domain late last year, Sega hasn’t said much about their futuristic shooter. Toshihiro Nagoshi, creator of the Yakuza series and Super Monkey Ball, is leading development on Binary Domain. Set in 2080, this PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game has humans battling robots in Tokyo. Announced in this week’s issue of Famitsu, Binary Domain is slated for release in 2012. So, there’s still plenty of time for Sega to trickle details about the game’s self-proclaimed advanced artificial intelligence. The magazine also has an in-depth look at the game’s world, but that has not leaked online yet. We’re checking around for it and will post an update when we have more information.
