Arc System Works released the first game in the BlazBlue series in 2008 and while BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma continues the saga it doesn’t complete it. Producer Toshimichi Mori has been working on the story for more than five years and throughout the entire time Mori didn’t divert from the core plot.

"In general I didn’t digress [from the original story]," Mori said to Siliconera. "Aside from Ragna, Jin, and Noel, I also already had Terumi and Relius in mind. Characters such as Azrael and Bullet, I added those because the story got bigger and I wanted to tack them on to Kokone. So there were additions, but in general the story is exactly how I envisioned. I haven’t changed the path for the main characters."

After BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma comes out fans will have seen 80% of the BlazBlue saga.I asked Mori if he already mapped out the ending of the BlazBlue story.

"For the BlazBlue series I don’t want to stray away from the fact that this is Ragna’s story. By the end of the BlazBlue series you will be able to see what I planned for that to be. I already told the main staff what’s going to happen to the protagonist and what I envision the end to be," Mori explained.
