Bleach: Dark Souls is simply Bleach DS 2nd

Treasure went back and tweaked Bleach: The Blade of Fate before Sega released it internationally. Changes were made to the blocking system and the ability to jump between fighting lines in on-on-one matches was removed. Projectile sidestepping fights went out the window. Bleach: The Blade of Fate is like Bleach DS 1.1. Bleach: Dark Souls isn’t Bleach DS 2.1.

I asked a representative from Sega if Treasure refined any game mechanics. They didn’t since the fixes in the US version of Bleach: The Blade of Fate were implemented in Bleach DS 2nd: Kokui Hirameku Requiem when it came out in Japan. Anyone who purchases the US game gets the same experience with easier to understand English text and English voice actors.
