The art will be done by Piotr Kowalski, who also drew the tie-in comics for Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus and Dark Souls. Written by Ales Kot, the comic sees a nameless Hunter arrive at Yharnam to slay the unholy monsters that lurk outside. Whether this comic will tell the story of the game or takes place at a different time has yet to be confirmed. However, the above preview art was released for promotional purposes.

In a press release for the announcement, Kot said, “There will be mystery, the weird, the eerie, the horrific and the bloody – and there will be an undercurrent of decaying romanticism (…) Ascend with us, Hunters old and new. And do remember: one has to seek Paleblood to transcend the hunt.”

Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep will be released in February 2018. Bloodborne, the game the comic is based on, is available on the PlayStation 4.
