The development team of Koji Igarashi’s Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has released a new development update video. This time, the footage showcases the different weapons that Miriam will wield, along with their attack animations, in the upcoming title.

You can check out the weapons and their animations in the following video.

In addition to the video, Igarashi also shared some information about each time of weapon and their unique attack movements. For example, in regards to using kicking attacks, Igarashi had the following to say:

“The kick motion will be be triggered any time you’ve equipped shoes, although Miriam will be able to kick by default. Kicking attacks trade attack speed for diminished range.”

Additionally, swords and maces both attack with a “single-handed horizontal slash motion,” and thrust damage is also dealt when wielding a mace.

Conversely, when equipped with larger weapons such as great swords, axes, and rods, the character will adopt a two-handed attack moth. “Axes are even slower than great swords but deal more damage, while rods are somewhat faster,” Igarashi noted.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is scheduled to release on March 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS Vita and Wii U.
