As part of the September 2026 State of Play Japan reveals, Bandai Namco highlighted what we can expect from the Digimon Story Time Stranger A Hero’s Eternal Legacy DLC expansion and confirmed the return of both BloomLordmon and ZeedMillenniumon. Both were teased for this additional story, which takes us back to Iliad as a new character three years after the events of the main campaign.
A hint at what to expect from this new campaign came up in the A Hero’s Eternal Legacy reveal. There will be a new protagonist, who looks like someone familiar with Inori Misono, that will find himself taken from Japan to Iliad. We get to see him running around open areas of the Digiworld, both on foot and riding on a Liamon as a mount. A new “baby” partner Digimon seems to be accompanying the hero this time. While we also see other cameos from new-to-this entry characters like Morishellmon, some of the most notable references include a ZeedMillenniumon tease and confrontation with BloomLordmon.
Here’s the full Digimon Story Time Stranger A Hero’s Eternal Legacy DLC expansion trailer from YouTube. The description for it also confirmed we’ll visit new locations and encounter over 50 more Digimon as we go through its campaign.
While this is going to be the most substantial update for the game, we saw quite a bit of DLC show up before it. Alternate Dimension, Gaku-ran, and Anti-ParadoX storylines that featured our avatar from the main campaign and offered a few extra adventures already showed up on every platform.
Digimon Story Time Stranger is available on the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the A Hero’s Eternal Legacy DLC expansion will debut in 2027.
