Back on August 4, 2016, Microsoft’s Phil Spencer confirmed on Twitter that Blue Dragon would eventually become one of the Xbox 360 games Xbox One owners would be able to play thanks to the system’s backwards compatibility feature. Yesterday, Xbox Spain’s Lidia Pitzalis said it was joining the backwards compatibility lineup. Today, Major Nelson confirmed the RPG is now playable on Xbox Ones.

Blue Dragon is a Mistwalker and Artoon game created by Hironobu Sakaguchi, with characters designed by Akira Toriyama and a soundtrack composed by Nobuo Uematsu. Players follow Shu and his friends as they fight against Nene and his Mechat machines. Fortunately, each character’s shadow is able to transform into a tangible that helps them defeat Mechats.

Blue Dragon was originally released on the Xbox 360 in Japan in December 2006, followed by an August 2007 worldwide release date. If you intend to purchase a used copy to play on your Xbox One, make sure it has all three discs.
