Blue Prince – How to Unlock the Outer Room

If the 46 rooms you find in the Blue Prince Manor aren’t enough for you, there are a wide range of rooms that can only be drafted outside of the house. These can appear in the Outer Room just beyond the West Gate, but you’ll need to unlock it before you can use it. Here is how you can unlock the West Gate Path and Outer Room in Blue Prince, and the rooms that can be drafted there.

How do I unlock the Blue Prince Outer Room?

You can open up the west gate, and subsequently the Outside Room, via the Garage. You may have seen the Spare Car Keys in other rooms before this, but this key actually has nothing to do with opening the Garage Door. Instead, the key opens the trunk of the car offering a variety of goodies. To open the Garage Door we need to turn on the switch labelled ‘Garage’ on the Utility Room control panel, and then draft the Garage itself. The Garage can only be drafted in the far left column of rooms, and is a dead end. However, it’s worth drafting even if it ends your day.

All rooms that can be drafted in the Blue Prince Outer Room

Here is the full list of rooms that you can draft as part of the Outside Room in Blue Prince:

• Toolshed – 2 special items.
• Shelter – Shelter protects you from negative effects of the next 3 Red Rooms drafted.
• Schoolhouse – Adds 8 classrooms to today’s Draft Pool.
• Shrine – Make an offering. Receive A blessing.
• Root Cellar – Rooms in your house will be more likely to contain dig spots today.
• Hovel – Special Floorplans now cost additional steps instead of gems.
• Trading Post – Items for Trade.
• Tomb – Each time you draft a Dead End in your house, spread 5 gold in the Tomb.

None of these rooms are necessary if you want to reach room 46, but these rooms can only be drafted in the Outer Room. If you want to dig into the deeper mysteries of Blue Prince’s Mt Holly, then you’ll need these rooms, and the missing parts of the puzzles they contain.
