Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom was panned by nearly every critic out there, including Dan from right here! The result is at best disappointing for Blueside, one of the few Korean studios designing Xbox 360 games. In an intriguing interview over at GameSetWatch Henry Lee, a leading member at Blueside, voices his concerns about Korean console development.

Lee admits that the Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom was rushed and sounds a tad bitter about being a pioneer. While developers in North America and Japan have networks to fall back on Blueside is almost alone. Nexon, Studio9 and SoftMax are other Korean developers creating games for the Xbox 360. Actually, Studio9 has the first Korean only Xbox 360 game, a karaoke title named Superstar. Despite complaints about the lack of solid programmers in Korea, Blueside trudges on with a “new project for new platforms. Some small, portable platforms.”

After Lee gives his response Sheffield shifts the topic to Nintendo of Korea, where Lee comments on the lack of developer support from Nintendo. It seems like Lee knows something about working with Nintendo. Perhaps, the “small portable platform” he is mentioning is the Nintendo DS? Or could it be a mobile phone game?
