PSP and Vita are leveling up with more RPGs from Nihon Falcom. Xseed has The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter and Brandish: The Dark Revenant, scheduled for release this year. We’re going to get Brandish: The Dark Revenant on January 13 – that’s next week – on PlayStation Network.

This game is actually a remake of a Falcom classic released for Super Nintendo remade with 3D graphics, arranged music, Dela mode with ten new dungeons for expert players, and a new localization. Xseed kept the original names for the characters so you won’t see "Varik" in The Dark Revenant. Ares Toraernos is trapped in a labyrinth with sorceress Dela Delon pursuing him to claim the bounty on his head. What makes Brandish: The Dark Revenant memorable are the trap filled dungeons and world rotating mechanic (players can use the L and R buttons to turn the entire world).

Brandish: The Dark Revenant will cost $19.99 in North America.
