The Build-a-Bear Pikachu pre-orders have opened. The collaboration that’s bringing Pikachu to retailers will launch this December. However, people must place a pre-order in order to guarantee a Pikachu, which guarantees the opportunity to make your own or have one delivered to your home.

The $28 Build-a-Bear Pikachu option reserves one for you at your nearest store. You’ll receive a notification when Pikachu is in stock, so you can come down and create your own stuffed Pokemon.

Build-a-Bear’s Pikachus will ship in late December, so they might not arrive in time for the holidays. If you’d like to see how one looks in person, some Build-a-Bear stores have a Pikachu on display behind the counter. (The one in Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois definitely does.)
