The Caligula Effect has come to the PlayStation Store in North America today. To help people better understand how the game and its battles work, Atlus has released a launch trailer for the Furyu JRPG. It introduces the premise and shows off the battle system.

In The Caligula Effect, players are trapped in a world called Mobius. This is ostensibly to protect them from the sadness of the world. However, the player and his allies all want to leave to return to their real lives. They need to then fight against people corrupted by a virtual idol’s music, defeating the composers of such songs as they try to find μ, the idol, and convince her to let them out.

The Caligula Effect is now available on the PlayStation Vita in North America. It will come to Europe on May 9, 2017.
