Final Fantasy XVI is finally here. As with most major AAA releases, there are several versions to get, including the Collector’s Edition for the PS5. But now that the game launched, people may wonder if you still order the Final Fantasy XVI Collector’s Edition.
So can I still buy a Final Fantasy XVI Collector’s Edition?
Unfortunately, the answer to that is going to be a complicated one. For starters, the collector’s edition is officially sold out through all of the licensed retailers, including GameStop and the Square Enix Store. I also wouldn’t hold my breath on a restock in the future, with the game now out. However, there are still technically some options.
Where can I buy the Final Fantasy XVI Collector’s Edition
If you are a collector and are fully dedicated to adding the special edition of Final Fantasy XVI to your pristine assortment of items, the only way to do it currently is through third-party resellers. Unfortunately, the problem with these people is that they usually bump up the price significantly.
For instance, the Collector’s Edition sold officially at retailers for $349.99. However, if you buy it through a platform like eBay, you’re looking more at $520 on the low end for a brand new, unopened box and all the way up to $600-$700. It is highly likely that it will increase in price over time, too, so this is only the start.
What You Get in the Collector’s Edition
The hefty price tag is warranted, given the amount of content and items you get inside of it. Here is everything you get in this set:
- Blood Sword in-game item
- Braveheart in-game item
- Cait Sith Charm accessory (in-game)
- Scholar’s Spectacles (in-game)
- Digital Mini Artbook
- Digital Mini Soundtrack
- Phoenix vs. Ifrit premium statue
- Metal Eikon pin collection
- Clive Rosfield steelbook case
- Cloth world map of Valisthea
Final Fantasy XVI is available for the PlayStation 5.
