Can You Pet the Cats and Dogs in Fate/Samurai Remnant?

When we pet the cats and dogs in Fate/Samurai Remnant, it will offer a tangible benefit beyond interacting with cute animals. Spending time with the animals will also restore playable characters’ health. When you find them while exploring, you’ll be able to stop and pet them to heal yourself.

Here’s the official English teaser trailer going over how taking the time to pet a dog or cat in Fate/Samurai Remnant will heal us as we go about our missions.

The Japanese trailer for the option goes into a bit more detail. It shows the petting prompt, which can involve repeatedly tapping a button. It also shows characters petting a different kind of dog and a calico cat.

Fate/Samurai Remnant will come out on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC on September 29, 2023. The early purchase bonus gives players a costume for Miyamoto Musashi.
