Following the teaser last week, Takara Tomy officially revealed Cap Kakumei Bottleman. The cross-media project features new toys that are a lot like B-daman but shoot bottle caps instead of marbles. In addition to an anime, a Bottleman Digital Battle Set was revealed with Nintendo Switch compatibility. The new “shooting hobby” series will kick off in Japan this October. First, here’s the announcement trailer for Cap Kakumei Bottleman: The goal behind Bottleman is to teach kids about recycling and learning how to split up recyclables and such at an earlier age. Takara Tomy calls it an “eco-toy” that includes messages about the environment and such on the packaging so that even kids can understand. The toys will start out with three Bottleman models that will go for 800 yen each. Check them out below:
BOT-01 Colamaru
A high-powered power-type Bottleman. This one is based on the colas that kids love. It has the ability to perform extra powerful charge shots. It actually looks a lot like the “Phoenix” line of B-damans.
BOT-02 Aquasports
The Aquasports is a speed-type Bottleman that focuses on launching successive shots. It is considered the “rival” model that is based on sports drinks. When equipped with its magazine, it can shoot three shots in a row.
BOT-03 Gyokurock
Lastly, the Gyokurock is a control-type Bottleman that focuses on precise shooting. This is another rival model Bottleman, except this one is based on tea. It has a scope that allows you to shoot with accuracy.
