Congrats go out to Chun-Li who has her very own live action movie in theaters today! Before landing a starring role on the big screen Chun-Li had her own video game. Well, “game” in the loosest sense of the word since Chun-Li Ni Makase China is a pachislot machine.

Players pull handles while Chun-Li kicks cars and pummels Shadaloo operatives like M. Bison. While Capcom could have reused assets for Chun-Li Ni Makase China they went ahead and made all new cel-shaded art. Neat to see, but it didn’t bring in lines of players. Capcom explained in a financial briefing, “as for the Pachislo machine business, Resident Evil showed healthy growth, while the highly anticipated Chun-Li Ni Makase China struggled.” Is this going to stop Capcom from licensing their characters for future Pachislot machines? No way! A Bionic Commando pachislot machine is in the works.
