Capcom Explains Why Monster Hunter Frontier Online Is Being Made For Xbox 360

Recommended Videos

Monster Hunter Frontier Online isn’t a brand new game. Capcom originally made the MMO for PCs and servers are live in Asia. This summer it will also be on Xbox 360s, but why?

“We decided to offer this title for the Xbox 360 because of this console’s outstanding online game playing capabilities and for other reasons,” said a Capcom’s spokesperson during an investor’s Q&A.

Monster Hunter Frontier Online requires an Xbox Live gold account to play. Don’t have one? Don’t worry. The Hunter Life course fee includes Xbox Live gold service. If you paid for Xbox Live in advance each hunter life course will extend your membership a month. Players will be able to talk to each other via USB keyboard input. While Capcom added voice chat to the Western version of Monster Hunter Tri, they are undecided about adding the feature to Monster Hunter Frontier Online.

Capcom is making new servers for the Xbox 360 version. A closed beta is scheduled for May. Monster Hunter Frontier Online comes out in the summer.
