Capcom rolling in the dough, net sales way up

This article is over 17 years old and may contain outdated information

Things are looking up for Capcom this year. Compared with last year their net sales are up 35% and their net income is up nearly 40%. Chalk it up to Gyakuten Saiban 4’s success. Over half a million copies were sold in Japan, which makes it the best selling game in the Ace Attorney series. With such strong support from fans another Gyakuten Saiban game is nearly guaranteed. And hopefully the numbers will convince Capcom to localize Apollo Justice even if Trials and Tribulations isn’t a breakout hit when it comes out in September.

Other reasons for the boost are smooth sales of Resident Evil 4 Wii edition and strong sales of Monster Hunter Portable 2, which is coming to North America this fall.
