The merchandise lineup will consist of T-shirts, keychains, and face towels. The T-shirts will be available at 5,000 yen (~$31.60) apiece in two colors (black and white) and four sizes (S, M, L, and XL). The blue face towel will cost 2,500 yen (~$15.80). Meanwhile, the white square keychain will be available at 900 yen (~$5.70), but the club will only produce 200 copies of this item.

The crossover originated when Yoichi Takahashi published a new illustration that featured Tsubasa Ozora and Optimus Prime on Nankatsu SC’s final home match day in the 2024 season. The crossover came to fruition because both the Captain Tsubasa-inspired real-world soccer club and Takara Tomy—the Japanese IP holder of Transformers—are based in the same city of Katsushika in Tokyo, Japan.

The Captain TsubasaTransformers crossover merchandise will be formally available for sale online in Japan on January 14, 2025. Nankatsu SC will have early-bird sales for several items in the lineup at the U-12 Captain Tsubasa Cup Katsushika tournament on January 11-12, 2025.
