Cartoon Network proclaims Toonami Jetstream as a success

Since Toonami Jetstream launched on July 14th the online media channel has 725,000 visitors a week watching anime. Paul Condolora, senior vice president and general manager of Cartoon Network New Media said, "Achieving 9.5 million video streams since our July 14 launch proves that fans are looking to Toonami Jetstream as the online destination of choice for action and animé programming. We will continue to offer a variety of the newest and most exciting animated series for our fans to access at anytime for their viewing pleasure." Currently the network airs popular series like Naruto, but it also has premiere programming. Episodes of Prince of Tennis and Mar can be seen online. Before the network’s launch, a representative from Viz said that they wanted Toonami Jetstream would be an alternative to downloading anime.
