Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls was recently announced by Konami for iOS, and it’s a sidescrolling game that features legacy characters from the series.
In a future where Count Dracula has been completely vanquished, people thought they had finally achieved eternal peace.
However, a letter sent to Genya Arikado spelt the end of that peaceful age.
“The Grimoire has gone berserk. Count Dracula has been revived.”
In order to confirm the message in the letter, Genya Arikado heads to the sender’s location…
Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls can be played in both Single Player and multiplayer, where up to four players can fight the undead together.
The game is in real-time, and players can also resurrect each other if they die in the stages.
Apart from the stages, there is also a Boss Rush mode and a 4v4 versus mode.
Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls also has a new graphical style, and will also feature various songs from other games in the series. A new chapter of the fight against Dracula is about to begin…
Genya Arikado and his assistant Lucy are the main characters of this story.
A mysterious person from a secret division of the Japanese government. He is the only person who has the power to fight against Dracula, but this is only known to a select few people. He is good-looking to the point of not seeming human, but very unsociable.
A female researcher from the Anti-Dracula Research Organization. While she is young, she has incredible strength as a magician and supports Genya and the others with her grimoire. Genya usually stays at her research lab.
Other characters such as Alucard, Simon, Charlotte, Shanoa, and Maria will be playable.
There will be a Closed Beta test for the game that is currently open for registration until the end of April. Players can register through the main site, and by registering their Apple ID email address.
