Cat Quest is a 2D open world RPG where cats take on the roles of knights and heroes, fighting across a large map filled with creatures, treasure, dungeons, and calls to adventure.
Much of Cat Quest takes place on its open world map, which covers a sprawling feline kingdom. Hidden throughout it are hidden caves and crumbling catacombs that players can explore, resolving quests for the Lion King or helping the cat populace who have lost a few too many of their nine lives to keep adventuring.
Combat will happen in real time as players wander the cat-focused world. Using a variety of weapons, players can engage in combat with creatures while watching out for the symbols that appear when their enemies are about to attack. Like in an MMO, players will want to avoid the red tells that indicate a monster beatdown is imminent.
Controlling the cat warrior in combat is done using mouse clicks or a tap of the finger, with players able to execute magic and physical attacks with ease.
Cat Quest is set to release some time in 2017.
