Cave Story 3D Screenshots With 2D Quote

Cave Story 3D has 3D models made by the team at Nicalis, but the original game had sprite graphics. 2D mode is a fusion of both styles. While this option doesn’t make the Nintendo 3DS game 2D, it changes Quote into a 2D sprite who hops through 3D levels.

The level layouts in Cave Story 3D are almost the same. Nicalis made some changes and expanded some areas to surprise fans, but Cave Story 3D is the Cave Story you remember with different music and 3D caves.

NIS America will release Cave Story 3D for Nintendo 3DS on November 8.
