Cells at Work is a story that features anthropomorphic versions of cells found in the human body. This includes red and white blood cells, with the story itself focusing on red blood cell AE3803 and white blood cell U-1146. The manga began serialization in January 2015 and is currently ongoing. A spin-off series, Cells at Work Code BLACK is currently being broadcast in Japan.
Liden Films, the studio behind the Cells at Work Code BLACK anime adaptation, are currently set to work on a new Saiyuki anime. Saiyuki Reload Zeroin will feature key events from the Saiyuki Reload manga. The upcoming series received its first teaser trailer, which shared that the original series voice actors would return to reprise their roles.
