Crunchyroll announced that, ahead of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, it will offer The Compilation: Part 1 and Part 2. These are based on the original 12-episode anime series already on the streaming service. Both will appear in September 2025, though exact dates weren’t set yet.
We already know how these compilation films will split things up, in case people watched certain persons of the original series or only want a refresher for a specific part. Chainsaw Man – The Compilation: Part 1 is the movie that will kick off with episode 1 and show how Denji became Chainsaw Man with Pochita’s heart. So we’ll see him meet Makima, be recruited to Public Safety Devil Extermination Special Division 4, and start working with Aki and Power. It goes up through the Eternity Devil encounter. Part 2 picks up in the midst of that mission, while also covering Gun Devil and Samurai Sword encounters.
While much of this will involve things we already saw from Mappa in the series, there will be new elements to these movies. Some of the early manga volumes’ “Chainsaw Days” will be incorporated into it.
Chainsaw Man – The Compilation: Part 1 and 2 will condense the original anime series down to two movies and show up on Crunchyroll in regions outside Asia in September 2025. Season one is already on the service. The Reze Arc film will debut in Japan on September 19, 2025, and it will appear in US theaters in English on October 29, 2025.
