Crunchyroll announced it will be the streaming home of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc. It will join the service in Spring 2026. Sony’s company handled the theatrical distribution of the Mappa series too, and the first season of the show, its two compilations, and Chainsaw Man: The Stage are all already streaming via that service. There’s no Blu-ray release set for the film yet, though physical copies of the anime are available.
Crunchyroll didn’t share any additional details about the streaming debut of the Chainsaw Man movie alongside the reveal. It only confirmed it will offer the film. The announcement did note the Japanese and English voice actors appearing in the film and the original TV show’s episodes did appear with both subs and dubs on the service, so that does act as a guarantee that we’ll have those options when it is available.
As a reminder of what to expect, here’s the official trailer for the movie. It covered the Bomb Girl Arc of the manga, which took place over 14 chapters in volumes five and six. It doesn’t feel many major spoilers for the film.
Additional anime adaptations of the manga are in the works. Mappa is focusing on the Assassins Arc of the series. As the name suggests, it comes after international assassins head to Japan to target Denji after the very public events of the previous arc, and it serves as an introduction to major characters like Quanxi, Master, and Aldo.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will start streaming on Crunchyroll in Spring 2026, the first season of the anime is streaming on Crunchyroll, and the manga is handled by Viz Media. There’s no exact date set for the return of the series and Mappa anime adaptation of the Assassin Arc of the series yet.
