Pokemon Masters has received an update, and with that update has come a new Legendary Arena battle. Players can now challenge the Legendary Cobalion through the Pokemon Masters‘ Legendary Arena. From July 7 to 21, 2020 players will be able to receive participation rewards and medals upon besting this Legendary Pokemon in combat.

In this battle, attacking Cobalion when it has a status condition is key!

It is suggested that players take Pokemon that are capable of inflicting status effects, like sleep or burn, as these are the two most effective ailments in this fight. Fire-Type Pokemon are also ideal to bring into this fight. Additionally, if you happened to get your hands on Serena and Fennekin, this Sync Pair is arguably a perfect fit. Other trainers like Red and Charizard are obviously top choices as well.
If you weren’t able to get your hands on Serena and Fennekin, you can use other Sync Pairs like Agatha and Gengar to sleep Cobalion. Additionally, Sync Pairs given to you through story completion are also viable options for this Legendary Arena fight. Flannery and Torkoal are a great Fire-Type Tech Sync Pair for this fight specifically.
Cobalion isn’t the only Legendary Pokemon to have been added Pokemon Masters Legendary Arena. Legendary Pokemon Entei was a temporary addition to this challenging arena in June. Similarly to the Cobalion Legendary Arena battle, players that participated and successfully defeat Entei were given rewards and a participation medal.
