Chambara will have players using the white or black of each of its stylized stages to hide, hoping to catch a glimpse of their opponent so that they can attack and defeat them.
Players will battle in one-on-one or two-on-two matches, with each player/team being colored either black or white. When in an environmental element of the same color, they will be impossible to see, but when they step past another color, they will be easy to see. As such, players will have to watch for any sign of movement across the other colors, using that to know when to move in. However, this movement will likely reveal them as well.
Players will have many different weapons and hats they can use to decorate their bird assassin, dealing lethal blows with a sword, fish, guitar, and more. They will also have access to a snare shuriken which freezes their foe in place if hit, allowing players to move in for the kill. Chambara offers players nine maps to use their decorative weapons and outfits in, offering many different places to sneak and fight in.
Chambara is available now on the Playstation Store, Humble Store, Itch.io, and Steam.
