Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol screenshots spotted

After appearing at E3 last year Nintendo hasn’t said much about Chibi Robo: Park Patrol besides the September 24 release date. Finally some new screenshots showed up on Famitsu, but the graphics aren’t looking good. Some of the charm of the series seems lost with the creepy smiling flowers and messy backgrounds. On the other hand there are some creative gimmicks with the touch screen where you mimic the motion of shooting water and you can make flowers dance by spinning the volume dial of a tiny stereo. I hope Chibi Robo turns out good so Skip makes a Wii-quel where Chibi becomes like a remote control toy robot controlled by the Wii remote. Chibi-Robo comes out in Japan on July 5th, a few extra months before its released in North America.
