The Chinese Parents Switch port will soon give people a chance to raise children to (hopefully) be successful on the go. Coconut Island Games and Playism’s life simulation will arrive on the eShop on August 20, 2020 for $12.99. As you might expect, it will be playable in English, Chinese, and Japanese.
Chinese Parents is a Princess Maker or Idolmaster sort of adventure. Players are charged with raising children into successful adults, hopefully ensuring they do their best, avoid pitfalls, and make their parents proud. In addition to the simulation elements, there are minigames mixed in. For example, there’s a mind map and one involving the red envelopes given as gifts.
Here’s a Chinese trailer from Playism looking at the Chinese Parents Switch port. The mind map minigame shows up at the 17 second mark, but it mostly focuses on the simulation elements and choices a player might make.
Chinese Parents originally appeared on PCs. The English and Japanese localizations were announced back in March 2019. The English and Simplified Chinese localizations appeared a few months later in June 2019. It’s available through Steam for $9.99.
The Chinese Parents Switch port will arrive on August 20, 2020. At the moment, a temporary sale for $11.69. It’s also available on PCs.
