Norihiro Yagi, who is best known as the mangaka behind the Monthly Shonen Jump series Claymore, has a new manga called Bartlet Fairy Basslet now running in Shonen Jump+. The first chapter is available worldwide via both Manga Plus and Viz Media. New installments will appear on a weekly basis on both sites.

The first chapter of the Bartlet Fairy Basslet manga is a massive one that spans 55 pages. It begins with the Knight Captain  Brunhilde fighting a warrior named Grand Marshal Luchsnase. She’s doing so to avenge her fallen brother. She wins the fight at the cost of a grave wound, and her enemy kisses her as she ends him and vows to only love her. However, though she also falls, she then rises later in an unfamiliar place and finds herself presented with something of a mystery.

Claymore proved to be quite a popular series that started with a manga and branched out to other media. Madhouse made an anime adaptation of it. The game Claymore: The Witch’s Silver Eyes showed up on the DS in Japan. There’s also a live-action adaptation in development.

Bartlet Fairy Basslet is available worldwide and the next second chapter of the manga will show up in Shonen Jump+ and on sites like Manga Plus and Viz Media on November 8, 2026.
