DMM Games announced its first PlayStation 4-exclusive title, Demeritocracy or the Two Faces of Arias Ruth, that is being made together with Hifumi Kono, best known as the creator of the Clock Tower series.
Demeritocracy or the Two Faces of Arias Ruth is described as a “Machiavellian Adventure” game that features a dark hero protagonist who works from the shadows. The game won’t have you simply read text and progress, but it will have you gather intel, stifle with people and organizations in a rather different kind of adventure game.
The game’s director and scenario writer is none other than Hifumi Kono from Shade, best known as the creator of the Clock Tower series. Joining him is Arco Wada who worked as an artist on several Fate games with the recent one being her role as the character artist for Fate/Extella.

Arias Ruth (Protagonist)
Arias Ruth his fake name. His birth a secret but he’s known to have the ability to control the consciousness and actions of others. He uses his smarts, abilities, and at times his good looks as a weapon to get revenge against the powerful nation. On the surface he appears as an honor student, but deep down he’s a cunning man who would do anything for his objective.
Karaya Dial
The protagonist’s rival. He was discovered after showing promising strategic capabilities as a young man, and has since then joined the advisory group of wise men who work directly under the king as its youngest member. He unexpectedly becomes the one whose existence is to stop Arias’ ambitions.
