A Closer Look At Splatoon, Mario Kart, And A New Mario Game For Nintendo Switch

We got a first look at Nintendo’s new console, Nintendo Switch, earlier this morning in its preview trailer. The video also showed what appears to be new titles or updated ports of Splatoon, Mario Kart, and Mario for Nintendo Switch.

The above images show new customization options with additional hairstyles and pants, two things that weren’t in the Wii U title. Splatoon’s Japanese official twitter account also had a message from the Squid Research Lab saying they can’t share more for the time being, but ask fans to please wait a little longer while they do their research.

The Mario Kart game looks a lot like Mario Kart 8, but it features two item slots and King Boo, so it looks like it can either be an updated port of Mario Kart 8 or a new title for Nintendo Switch.

We also got a glimpse at what looks like a new Mario title for Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo Switch launches in March 2017. Check our earlier report for more details on the console, and a list of supporting developers and publishers.
