Common Sense Training, a hit in Japan

This article is over 17 years old and may contain outdated information

Was last week a slow week in Japan or does Nintendo have another hit with Adult’s Common Sense Training DS? Nintendo’s newest Touch Generations title racked up 189,700 units in sales in its first week on the market. Tales of the Tempest, which also launched on the same day only sold 88,137 copies. The premise for the title is clearly geared towards the Brain Age audience. It is a database of questions that occur in daily life, geared towards people in the business world. While a gamer might not be so interested in Otona no Joushikiryoku Training DS, Nintendo’s non gamer audience is eating it up. Also it should be noted that the high sales of this title says something about Nintendo’s strategy of picking up non gamers, it’s working.
