Contra-like Contradiction has players guiding Billy Lancer, part of an elite group of guerilla soldiers, facing off against the bio-mechanical hordes of Dr Hiroshita. 

Players will shoot their way through several stages of animals, soldiers, and robotic monsters trying to take them down. Using an array of guns they can pick up from floating capsules, players can use lasers, fireballs, spreading shots, and a machine gun to mow down anything that comes at them while carefully navigating the pits and traps in every area.
