While Call of Duty 3 is already in stores for most consoles, Activision changed the game for the PS3 and Wii to take advantage of the new motion sensitive controllers. With the SIXAXIS controller you can tilt the pad to steer vehicles and twist it to wind up explosives. On the Wii the remote controller is used to point and shoot while the nunchuk can be lobbed downwards to throw a grenade. Also if an enemy gets too close you can poke your Wii remote forward to hit them with the back of your rifle. Which sounds better to you? Pointing and shooting with the Wii Remote or tilt sensitive driving? Or do you prefer the standard Xbox 360 control pad set up?

Update we spoke to John Rafacz from Activision who explained a little more about the Playstation 3 SIXAXIS controls.

Siliconera -So for the PS3 the SIXAXIS controller is used to steer so you tilt the controller to move vehicles?

The Sixaxis is utilized for the following functions:

Single Player tilt functionality:

Melee
Driving a Jeep
Melee Mini-games
Explosive planting Mini-game
Rowing Mini-game
Crowbar Mini-game
Climbing Mini-game
Crane Mini-game
Opening the valve Mini-game

Multiplayer tilt functionality:

Melee
Driving both Allies and Axis Jeeps
Driving the motorcycle

Siliconera – And how does the winding up of explosives work?

For the PS3 version, it works much the same as the 360…the player will be prompted to hit a button to plant the charge and then – using the thumbsticks – will twist and turn to insert and activate the fuse.
