Corpse Party Twitter Updates For the First Time in Three Years With An Ominous Message

Corpse Party Update

The official Corpse Party Twitter has been updated for the first time in three years with an ominous message. However, that isn’t the only thing that has changed about the account. In addition to this message, the name of the account has been changed to Miku. While no other updates or changes have been made, this may indicate that more of these updates (and cryptic messages) could keep coming. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The above update from the Twitter account translates to “I’m home,” or “I’m back,” and paired with the image it evokes a certain kind of feeling that wouldn’t be out of character for the Corpse Party series. In addition to this, “Miku” also posted an introduction tweet, stating that they attend the Kisaragi Academy. For those unfamiliar with the series, this is the school that the characters in the Corpse Party series attend.

Corpse Party is a cult classic visual horror game set in the fictional Kisaragi Academy. After performing an occult ritual, Mayu Suzumoto and her friends find themselves trapped in the otherworldly elementary school.

Corpse Party originally released in 1996 for the PC. Re-released for the PlayStation Portable in 2011, Corpse Party gained a sizable following. Is has since received numerous re-releases, spin-off games, and sequels. The series has also received an anime OVA, drama CDs, and manga.
