Cowboy Bebop split on to two formats

Bandai Visual just doesn’t know which high definition format to release Cowboy Bebop on, so it’s heading to both. The Cowboy Bebop movie, Knockin’ on Heavens Door, will be on a Blu-ray disc on January 25, 2008. If you want to watch the 26 sessions you need to pick up HD-DVD box set for the rather high price of 29,400 ($255) on February 22, 2008. If you want to experience the entire series in high definition, you need to have two players. To me that's overkill. I’ll happily stick with my DVDs until Cowboy Bebop shows up as a downloadable video in either the Playstation Store or the Xbox Live Video Marketplace. Bang.
