Square Enix offered details about how Crisis Core FFVII Reunion will look and run on platforms like the Switch, PS4, and PS5. A new update went over more technical details. Specifically, it pointed out the Crisis Core FFVII Reunion frame rates and resolutions on every platform. Here’s the full list of each Crisis Core FFVII Remake console’s display resolution and frame rate, which covers systems like the Switch in different modes, different PS4 versions, and the PS5.

  • PS4 Pro: 3840×2160 resolution, 30 FPS
  • PS5: 3840×2160 resolution, 60 FPS
  • Switch (handheld or TV mode): 1280×720 resolution, 30 FPS
  • Xbox One: 1920×1080 resolution, 30 FPS
  • Xbox One S: 1920×1080 resolution, 30 FPS
  • Xbox One X: 3840×2160 resolution, 30 FPS
  • Xbox Series S: 1920×1080 resolution, 60 FPS
  • Xbox Series X: 3840×2160 resolution, 60 FPS

With the Xbox Series S, a day one patch can be downloaded to bring it up to 60 FPS. Without it, it will be at 30 FPS. It also elaborated that the PC version available from Steam will be display dependent and offer 30, 60, or 120 FPS options. People can choose windowed, fullscreen, or virtual fullscreen. There will also be optional vertical synchronization and ambiant occlusion. Anti-aliasing can be high, low, or off. You can also choose low, medium, or high shadow or texture quality. The focus for it was on what changed for this remaster. It pointed out that it is essentially “more than a remaster” due to some alterations. For example, the battle system is redone.
