Cursed Sight Is A Visual Novel About “Struggling With Fate”

Recommended Videos

Cursed Sight is to be the next visual novel from InvertMouse, the creator of Unhack and Without Within, and at 45,000 words in total, it’s the studio’s biggest one yet.

It’s about a girl called Miyon who has the ability to control fate. She keeps herself to herself as people fear her power. But, as East and West Taria head into conflict, her power becomes the most valuable weapon. You play a boy called Gai who is sold to Miyon’s temple by his family. “Will the two save or destroy one another?” teases InvertMouse.

Of course, knowing the word-length of Cursed Sight means that the writing is now finished. But there’s still art work and music to pay for, and a trailer to be made. As such, InvertMouse has taken to Kickstarter to raise $2,000 in funds for these other elements. (And that goal has already been reached.)

You can get a copy of Cursed Sight on Windows, Mac, and Linux for $3 on the Kickstarter. Beyond that, there’s also the soundtrack available at $10, a digital art book at $30, and a physical copy of the game (and other goodies) at $80.

If you want to check out a demo of Cursed Sight before throwing your money at it, you can download it here. Finally, you can vote for Cursed Sight on Greenlight so that InvertMouse can publish it on Steam once it’s finished. Check out its website for more information.
