Synaptic Drive takes place within a 3D online game setting set in a futuristic world. Players use Gun, Wire, and Tracker type weapons in order to chase down and destroy their opponent. Like Custom Robo, the game has a focus on customizing and creating your own loadouts, and there are over 10 body types to choose from, each which have their own appearance and health. There are over 100 Guns and other weapons, and battle arenas are also plentiful. Depending on the stage, the tactics you’ll need to use in order to win will change.

While 1v1 is the game’s main focus, Kenjou confirmed on Twitter that there will be 2v2 support in the game both online and offline, and against friends. Additionally, he mentioned that the game will be getting free updates post-release, beginning soon after the release. Free updates will include new fighters, weaponry, and arenas.

Synaptic Drive will release globally simultaneously, and supports cross-platform play between the Switch and Steam versions. In Japan, there will be a physical release for the game. Try and become the best Synaptic Drive player!

Synaptic Drive will release on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam globally on May 28, 2020.
