Customers Will Soon Be Able To Catch Pokémon At KFC In Japan

A slew of Pokémon merchandise will soon be making an appearance in KFC restaurants in Japan. [Thanks, rocketnews24.]

Starting March 17th, customers who order any drink will be able to receive a Froakie, Chespin, Fennekin, Sylveon, Pikachu, or Pancham straw figurine at random for an additional 190 yen. Those who want to “catch ‘em all” can also buy the “Complete Pack” for 2,500 yen which includes all straw figurines in addition to a display stand, six free drink coupons, and an original tote bag.

Two special game kits will also be available starting March 17th. These game kits are made from cardboard and let players “catch” various Pokémon by throwing Pokéballs at them. Included in each game kit are 16 character cards in addition to either a street scene or a forest environment.

Lastly, on April 21st, KFC restaurants in Japan will offer a special Pokémon-themed bucket featuring four pieces of the Colonel’s crispy fried chicken, fries, Crispy Strips, as well as a limited-edition Pikachu placemat, which will cost 1,890 yen.
