Taito just announced Darius 30th Anniversary Edition for PlayStation 4. It puts the Arcade Archives version of Darius on a disc and includes seven discs of music from various Darius titles. It’ll release in Japan on February 23, 2017 for 13,800 yen.
Here’s what’s included in the Darius 30th Anniversary Edition‘s seven disc soundtrack:
- Disc 1: Darius (Arcade version, Game Boy version)
- Disc 2: Darius II (Arcade version)
- Disc 3: Darius Gaiden (Arcade version)
- Disc 4: G Darius (Arcade version)
- Disc 5: Darius Twin (Japan version, International version)
- Disc 6: Darius Force, Sagaia (Console version, International version Darius II)
- Disc 7: Mobile version Darius, newly arranged music, and more
This marks the first time the original Darius gets a home console package, and it was made possible thanks to Hamster, the company in charge of the Arcade Archives game download service. To give it more of an authentic arcade experience, it features the familiar instruction panels.
Darius 30th Anniversary Edition releases in Japan on February 23, 2017, for PlayStation 4. The 13,800 yen package also includes a booklet featuring 32 pages of interview material, along with a Blu-ray disc featuring “super play” footage of the games.
