Game Republic’s Dark Mist suddenly appeared on PAL PlayStation Stores yesterday. I bought Dark Mist when it came out in Japan and I thought it was a fun blend of Zelda with shooting. Unlike Zelda you can’t save your progress. While Dark Mist looks like a dungeon explorer it’s really a score attack kind of game. Because of this development choice you’re going to know the first level by heart.

While Europe is getting a chance to explore dungeons with Artemis and his light shooting bow Japan already moved on to the expansion pack Dark Mist: The Depths of Darkness. Meanwhile North America doesn’t have either version. Since Dark Mist didn’t show up on the first party PlayStation release schedule we should see it sooner rather than later. Perhaps, as next week’s PlayStation Network game. If you can’t wait you can play Dark Mist in English with the help of a PAL PSN account.
