The Darkside Detective, a lighthearted point-and-click game about a detective that specializes in the supernatural and occult, will be coming to smartphones and PC in Q3 this year.
When strange, otherworldly events have the police (or at least Officer Dooley) baffled, Detective Francis McQueen, sole member of the underfunded Darkside Division, gets called in. At this point, it’s up to him to interrogate undead or spectral suspects and find/use the right items to solve the case.
The game’s sense of humor and visuals draw from the Monkey Island series, Maniac Mansion, and other early Lucasarts Adventure games. The game will take place across six different cases, and one of those cases is available as a free demo for players who wish to try the game now.
